Founding partner of spectre.tax s.r.o. After the studies in Czechia, Greece and the Netherlands, he joined PwC in Prague where he spent almost 6 years. In 2015, he joined one of the Czech front tax&legal boutique firms which he left as a tax partner in 2020.
Robert has a deep knowledge in tax structuring, investment funds, international taxation, transactions and financial structuring. He also participated on large reorganizations, real estate projects and significant tax disputes. He works for the biggest private equity firms, high net wealth individuals and (international) investment funds.
Jan Krabec graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University and has been an attorney-at-law since 2010. In 2013 he graduated from the Professional LL.M. program at UC Berkeley School of Law, where he received the Law & Technology Certificate issued by the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology.
From 2004 to 2005 he worked in the Prague office of the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges. From 2005 to 2021 he cooperated with PELIKÁN KROFTA KOHOUTEK, where he became a partner. In 2021, together with Jan Novotný, he founded spectre.law.
Jan primarily focuses on private and contract law, in particular M&A, venture capital investments, commercial law, intellectual property law and sports law. He is also a member of ALAI [Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale], an international learned society for the study of copyright issues.
Jan Novotný is an attorney-at-law and a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and the University of Rotterdam, where he obtained an LL.M. degree with a focus on commercial law and international transactions. In addition to the aforementioned, he completed study placements in the USA and the UK. Jan worked in leading Czech law firms, where he focused on corporate and transactional law and subsequently founded spectre.law together with Jan Krabec.
Jan specializes in energy law, administrative law, M&A, corporate law and venture capital investments with a focus on the technology sector. Jan also has broad experience in international transactions within the manufacturing and mining industries. In his practice, he has advised on complex transactions reaching volumes of tens of millions of EUR. He has also gained extensive experience in corporate governance through leading teams providing legal administration of manufacturing holdings or investment groups.
